Blog: What’s something you’ve learned from having your blog?

I’ve learned so many things from having my blog. Some are just random, “did you know” facts. But I’ve also learned a lot about the real world as far as things they don’t show on the news. 

&I’ve learned about ‘modern day racism.’ I’m half black, but I was raised and grew up around white people so tumblr has helped me learn a lot of stuff I was either taught the opposite about, or didn’t notice. So it’s helped me open my eyes and be less ignorant about myself.

&Then you can’t have a tumblr and not learn about gay people. lol. So much pride here! &It made me realize that I’m attracted to everyone versus just boys when I used to live in denial about it.

So people may look at a blog as a childish way to keep busy, but it can be very useful. &All I blog about is ATLA, Quentin Tarantino, and Rihanna. lol 

Cinema: List of movies that have changed your life or way of thinking.

The only film that comes to mind that specifically fits this is Fight Club. Only because when I watch it or think about it, it makes me wonder if I’m the narrator. Like, if I’m walking around Target talking to my mom, what if I had a revelation and it turned out she wasn’t there? Like, we could be going though our lives perfectly fine because nobody is telling us that we’re talking to air when we walk down the street. It’s fascinating and terrifying at the same time I think. 

But since I only had one for the Q, I’ll give you a couple that I take very seriously because they’re extremely personal to me;

• Running With Scissors
• Lolita
• Castaway
• The Hunchback of Notre Dame
• Clue

That isn’t my top five films list, but I love them for different reasons.

Years: Tell us a story from when you were in high school or middle school:

One time (in middle school) my teacher thought I was talking during a test so she made me get a little kid book and sent me to a 6th grade classroom. She was such a cunt. I was in the 8th grade.

Middle School: One time my teacher took the day off and we had a sub and some of her stuff got stolen. The next day I showed up to school and I was writing w/ gel pens. But some of her gel pens got stolen so she assumed that I stole hers and used them in front of her. So she came up to me, snatched the pen out of my hand, all the ones off my desk, and went back to hers to go sit down. I was absent the day she had a sub and the entire class backed me up and she still called me a thief. Needless to say, I cussed her ass out for that one. The next day my mom showed up to the school, cussed her out, and got my pens back. 

After that, all my other teachers and the dean started shit w/ me. I have so many bad experiences w/ school authorities.

High School: One time I was late to class because I was in the office talking to the Vice Principal. So she sent me to class w/out a pass and told me to tell them I was w/ her. When I got to class I told them that and they said okay. But they didn’t mark it down on the attendance so it looked like I ditched. So I went back to the VP office and she was like, “it’s okay, I know you were with me.” So I went back to class and told them that and they said they’ll change the attendance.

They never changed it and I got community service. smh.

Disney: Which Disney character are you most like?

I think I’m most like Cinderella. Only w/ some of the aspects of our life changed a bit. Both of my parents are still alive, but I did grow up w/out my father. And I’m an only child, but my mom did pay more attention to her relationships sometimes. I always have food, clothing, and shelter, but it changed her personality in a negative way.

I’ve always had a bunch of pets. I have four dogs right now. I always got stuck w/ unfair chores around the house. 

But I still daydream ALL the time. I still walk around the house w/ a bandanna in my hair singing “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” 

&Over the past few months my dreams have shifted to still being successful on my own, but also wanting to be a Stepford wife. lol. So I need a handsome prince to come rescue me so I can do just that!

&If not Cinderella, Alice. Because I always fuck something up when I get curious haha.
